wtnhunt
Have no first hand experience with it, but have heard that it is not in the class of the other leupold scopes.

coles
i have 3 of them. i have them on my 7mm-300wtby, 25 gibbs, and my 22-250. i love all of them. the only downside is the dang high mounts. of well. the best part is all the extra light they take in. in my opinion thats what sets them apart. superguide
it would be similar or better than my Vari x I i bought over 30 years ago and it's been a real good scope. You really can't go to far wrong witrh a Leupold. They have models that cost alot more but not sure if you wpould reallky notice alot of difference in a hunting situation. bring your gun out some day and we'll give her a try. Leo
Sask-Hunter said: Not in the same class meaning? not as good?? In a word, no. The Rifleman line is Leupold's economy scope line. The higher dollar models are more expensive for legitimate reasons. That doesn't mean Rifleman's are junk, they aren't. But they aren't the best Leupold makes by a long shot. I have one on my 223 NEF, I like it just fine for that. That rifle doesn't "need" a better scope. This scope used to be on my Tikka 30-06 and honestly I felt that rifle did "need" a better scope.
