RangerClay
Less than a month to go! Time to start making plans!!
Shaun_300
Yep I was just thinking about this! You guys probably won't need a 4-wheeler, I have my new Outlander and my brothers snowmobile that I can use. It all depends if you guys want to stay one night or two, we could either meet up there on Friday night, visit, have a couple beers and get up on Saturday morning to fish, or you could leave Joe T's place early Saturday morning, fish saturday, stay the night, fish part of sunday and head home. I'll be up there all weekend so it really doesn't matter to me what you's want to do, it'd be nice to have the whole weekend. It's only 2 1/2 hours from Kingston or so, so even if you left at 6pm you'd be there at 8:30. Here's the directions from Kingston. - Take Hwy 401 west to Napanee, take the Highway 41 north exit. - Go north on Highway 41 all the way to Eganville, there's only one turn you'll have to make and that is before Renfrew, you'll have to hang a left to stay on 41, if you go straight you'll be on 132, it's well marked so no worries! - Once you come into Eganville you'll hit a set of traffic lights (the only ones in the town:D) Turn left at the lights onto Highway 60. - Follow Highway 60 all the way to Golden Lake village, once you're through the village you have about 6 miles left. You'll come to McMillan Rd that'll be on your left, turn down that road and follow it about 1/2 mile or so, then you'll see the resort on the right hand side, there's a big sign that says McMillan's Cabins. It's real easy to find, if we don't meet at my grandma's we'll meet at the motel which is a mile or so past McMillan Road on Highway 60 on the left hand side. Can't wait guys, really looking forward to this! Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend.
RangerClay
What do I need to bring? Tip-ups? Jig poles? How do you want them rigged up??
Shaun_300
You can bring jig poles and tip ups if you want! Make sure the tip ups have 15+lb test line on them. Them pike will chew right threw it. We even use 25lb test! 3 more weeks boys.

Shaun_300
Yeah we'll be mainly going for pike, we might try for some whitefish and walleye. I know the whitefish usually start to bite pretty good at the beginning to end of march.

I'll have to get him to fry us some up for lunch or supper while you're up!

RangerClay
Whitefish would be cool but I would also like to catch some walleyes. Three questions? 1. How many tip-ups am I allowed? 2. Will you have minnows? 3. Where can I get my license?

muggs
Sure wish it wasn't such a long drive. With the limited ice we've got in Ohio this season, my one trip to Simcoe isn't enough for me to get my hardwater fix.
