Guest BKimble
I am trying to get my wife involved in the outdoors... she started fishing and she loves it.. so im trying to introduce her to the woods.. but there is one circumstance... she wants a pink gun... no exceptions.. I found a pink shotgun and 22 but I was hoping to find a higher caliper for deer hunting... maybe a 243 or something... I would appreciate any help... also I was interested in buying a 22 250 so if anyone is wanting to get rid of one let me know thanks.. cinch314
I think I saw a pink .243 on Walmart online the other day. You might wanna try a search there.
LifeNRA
243 would be a good gun to start out with. But honestly, pink would go against the point of camouflage! Try to explain that!
Guest scubabeartoo
Have you given any thought about buying a rifle in 6mm, 6.5mm or 7mm range which includes 243 and 7mm-08? Then you could send it out and have the metal parts coated with the same stuff as used in French Gray only in pink and a laminated stock from someone like Boyds with rose to pink wood. The cost would be more than a rifle already made in pink but then again I have never come across a pink rifle bigger than a 22 in child size. Good luck!!! wtnhunt
Yeah, all the rifles in pink I have seen have been in rimfires. The gander mountain store here had several. Pretty sure I did see an 870 20 gauge also in pink. Think starting her out for deer, a .243 would be a great choice, that is what my wife and oldest daughter both shoot. johnf
Why not the 870 in pink and shoot slugs out of it?
LETMGROW
I'd buy a rifle of choice then buy a cheap replacement stock for it. Scuff down the new stock and paint it with any color you choose. Soon after she sees the reasoning behind camo, black and other standard choices she just may insist you put the original stock back on. Mission accomplished. Save the " pink "stock for a conversation piece later on. Welcome her to our world for me. Happy hunting! Lynn
