Hardwood_HD
Well i got up early this morning and head out alone for the two day gun season here in ohio, head the first shot before i even got in the stand at just after 7am.. way illegal. i had a hunter move in behind me and get in his stand then i saw the group of hunters that drives the neighboring property so i got out of the stand and moved to a gate in the corner of a fencerow and waited for them to push something my way.. after a few mins i heard the guy that came in behind me shoot 4 times then two does walked out across the field infront of me and walked slowly toward the drivers she got to about 80yrds when they shoot at a deer, the does got nervous so i shot at the biggest doe, i held high because i have the muzzleloader sighted in for 50 and i shot right over her, they ran to the drivers and they missed them about 10 times.. they are crazy.. well right after i reloaded they pushed a doe to me and i wasnt gonna shoot her but she acted funny then layed down so i knew she was wounded, the shot was a little over 100yds but i took it and smoked her, when i got up to her i saw they had shot her in the foot and blew it clean off, i shot her through the shoulders.. i am super pumped because this is my third deer this season and i have never killed more than one in a season before.. well here she is, soaked because she died in a creek... Tominator
Good job Devin! I saw 4 today. Someone shot across the road and bumped them my way. I heard the shot, looked out back and a doe and two fawns were jogging east. They jogged until they disappeared from view. They never did stop. I saw another one duck into my field at the same time. I grabbed my orange and walked out. I saw its tracks but never did see the deer. I guess it ran out the back. I didn't hunt too much because I wasn't feeling too good. BTW--heard some yotes howling in my field tonight, around 6 o'clock.
The Kid
i'm glad you put a nice clean shot on her, i have people like that by my house that don't put good clean ethical shots on deer and it makes me angry!!

Turkeygirl
Way to go, congrats! Our neighbors get a bunch of guys together and do drives like that and they'll empty their guns on running deer and more likely wound a deer then kill it on the spot...I've gotten a few deer previously shot

I still have 2 antlerless for the urban zone. I don't quite understand that stupid tag though. I'm going to have to make a call or two to make sure it's OK to still use them. I'm going to have to make a call or two to make sure it's OK to still use them. The $15 tags are good in urban zones only after Nov 25, antlerless only. Your $24 tag is still good statewide till the end of bow season, buck or doe.

Hoyt03
nice going, makes me sick at some of the shots people will take at a deer just to get a shot off. Just think how many get a foot or leg taken off that don't run up to someone else and get shot.
Hardwood_HD
i cant believe they hit her in the foot tho, thats a good two feet off of where they should have been aiming.. they didnt even attempt to track her, to them if they dont see it drop they dont even bother.. i see it every year in the same spot
slughunter
thats great, nice shooting. Nothing better than shooting a wounded deer. Thats a good doe too, lots of meat on that one. -shane
