TreeStandBowHunter
Following through on that other thread in here, I have gone to this website here and read up on Mike Huckabee. I think he may very well be the way to go. I may not agree with everything about him, but the important stuff is what matters. If you don't know much about him, here you go http://www.mikehuckabee.com/?FuseAction=Home.Home
wtnhunt
Honestly he still would not be my first choice Mike, but if he gets the nomination I will vote for him.
TreeStandBowHunter
Honestly he still would not be my first choice Mike, but if he gets the nomination I will vote for him. Gotcha...I think what drew my attention to him was when he made this statement "I will take our country back for those who belong here. No open borders, no amnesty, no sanctuary, no false Social Security numbers, no driver's licenses for illegals":D I absolutley love it!!!LOL

slugshooter
The Republican Party's answer to Howard Dean. He'll be gone by Super Tuesday. He also said that AIDS patients should be kept isolated, like it was a contagious disease or something. Wouldn't and won't get my vote based on the fact that he is a flash in the pan. buckee
Whether you are Republican or Democrat I think you will find this is quite good! If you haven 't seen this clip - do yourself a favor. It's pretty refreshing to see someone in the political spotlight not skirt an issue such as this. Notice the commentator's reaction versus the audience's. I don't think this went the way the commentator had hoped. Share this with as many people as you can. I don't think he expected a direct answer buckee. I think he wanted him to do the "Clinton shuffle" around it. Or pull out the Gulianni "well, after 911"........ You have to respect a guy who will stand tall and give a straight answer regardless of his politics, don't you.

OJR
Way tooooooo religious for me! I'll vote for someone else! The only way I will vote for him is if he is running against Hillary! Anybody else on the Democratic side I will look at before I would vote for him!
wtnhunt
His stance on moral issues does impress me, but like I said before, he is definitely not my first choice and I still question whether or not he can defeat a Hillary or Obama given some of his history. Missed160
There is obviously a LONG way to go, but his approval rating keep going up & up. I think he is saying things honestly & say things all other polititians are scared to say. That question was asked for 1 reason, to get him to defend his beliefs in a public forum. He is an ordained minister, based on that fact alone, there is no doubt he believes in creation. Ask that same question to any of the candidates & someone will be offended. I think at the beginning of the answer, he made a great point, " It's interesting that this be asked of someone running for president" I like what he is saying as an overall message.. wtnhunt
??? aids IS a contagious disease. it can be spread in many ways, such as blood transfer, sex, even bodily fluids like saliva.. Unfortunately it was not just his comments on that particular incident, but what was done to that kid that will haunt Huckabee. I think everyone has the capacity to learn from their mistakes even politicians, but afraid isolating a kid and some of the other things Huckabee has done will end up coming back and hurting him. Just my opinion.

Contagious means that you can sneeze or brush up against someone and they will get the disease. The only way it can be transferred by saliva is if there is blood in the saliva and an open wound on the other person.

oldksnarc
Not afraid to speak his mind, stand his ground, or not be led into an obvious trap. He wasn't my first choice early on. But, he's moving up quickly. Religious? Yes. And not afraid to admit it. But, he hasn't shoved it down our throats. Only responded when asked. But, it would be interesting to see: if the other candidates were asked the same question; and, how they answered. Or, whether or not they did the shuffle. Tominator
I thought he looked dazed and confused last night in the debate. Don't know if he's ready or not. I do like his stance though.
