Climbing Treestands

I bought the Lone Wolf Sit-and-climb this year and i absolutely love it. I walk back in over a mile and sometimes 2 miles depending on the stand. It is 3 lbs lighter than the summit and it folds down so that is is only about 3 inches off of your back. You can put it on the stand in no time and it is very quite. I also think it is easier to adjust as you are going up the tree. My brother has the summit vipor and i would take this stand over it anyday. One little thing though, it costs about another $80.00 that the summits. Worth checking out though.

ok im pretty sure they quit making the grand ol man treestands but if you could get a used one off ebay i would do it. in my opinion this is the best climbing treestand out there. i get 30 feet and feel really safe. They have two differant versions the ol man and the grand ol man the grand ol man is for big guys that's what i have because im a big guy but even if i was a hundred pounds i would still use this stand because you have so much room in it. They have the netted seats and when i get up there i spread out the net really good that's the key to comfort and i have sat from 11 in the morning untill dark before and i wasnt a bit cramped or tired of sitting there.

I have the Summit Goliath X5. Absolutely love this stand! The top section is bigger than the Viper, and it can hold more weight! 350 pounds. The extra room is nice when you have heavier clothing on! Add the deluxe backpack straps and you can walk all day with this stand! Well almost! :D Will I ever buy another? You bet!!!

climbing tree stand

take a look at the gunslinger from JRH sports. i bought one and by far it is the most comfortable stand i have ever used . now it faces the tree so if you want one that allows your back to the tree i would use summit although JRH has one but i havent used it to make a decision.

in mine i have sat from sun up to sun down and you can really stretch out in this thing

im 6'2 260 and it hoilds over 300

I say buy a light stand if you are packing it in and out.I bought a heavy stand and it sits in the basement.I have a climber from a Company called TIMBERTALL it is awsome I love it,extremly light and easy to climb the tree.mailto:[email protected]

I had a look at these things. They look very simple, safe and sturdy, not to mention comfy. They are a bit more than the summits, but a good deal lighter. For $299 you can get a stand almost 6lbs lighter than a summit and for another $50 you can get a 12.5lb climber with a slingstyle padded seat. That's 7lbs lighter than the lone wolfe for the same price.

I may have gotten one of these rather than my Summit if I had known about them.
