dartonman Posted December 17, 2007 Report Share Posted December 17, 2007 Im your guy....yep Finn, I deleted it......if the Miss Realtree happens, Im honestly sir, totally against it....right, wrong or indiferrent....my view is as follows, and Im not at this time the majority, however the mods are discussing it...in my own personal beliefs, and I have followed the forums for many years, its a post that could and will turn ugly quickly. I view everyone as sportsman....not male or female....and when you change that, well, its not fair or ethical to portray a "woman" in a different manner, even if its for a "fun" contest...as sure as Im sitting here, there will be unappropriate pictures, unapproved pictures an ex boyfriend published on a National website, just to be "that" guy that got one over on her....it happens all the time, and I feel this is not the forum for it....if I get overturned in my decision by Scott at Realtree, so be it......al Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If the Mods allowed a Mr. Realtree contest then a Ms. Realtree would soon follow and it would get squashed. I agree with Al in his decision to stop the thread but I also believe that the Mr. Realtree contest should have been stopped as well. If you are going to allow one contest then you should allow the other or squash them both. It's only fair. Why should the ladies be treated differently?? The guy's contest was run in good taste and all, I am SURE the womens would have been as well, this ain't AT, and never will be. But to let one go, and then sqush another is, well, I ain't gonna say it. It's the whole principle here that has me ticked off. dartonman Posted December 17, 2007 Report Share Posted December 17, 2007 Finn...as an adult, I drew my line in the sand....ref my signature, I have had it for 5 years, and I explained to only one other person in the last 5 years that it stands for the friendship on a hog hunt between a great deal of mods, and Bluelk, who is now deceased......I never said anything about taboo, if you have your contest, so be it......I will not change my signature that holds my bond with the group I was with, which included Dave Watson with Bushnell outdoors, and Scott Hughes at Realtree, along with the disabled kids we took hunting, and the mods I was with...............that is the only answer to that question you need, along with the idealist who gave it to you. al Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
