I know the Mr. Realtree contest was all in good fun...and because I felt that's all it was, I threw my pic in the mix...however, in hindsight I now also see the precedent it set, and when you really think about it...it isn't a good one. I know it looks like a double standard on the mods part...but I don't think it was meant that way. I actually see it more as an admission to a mistake that they don't want to repeat. Just because they let something go on that they shouldn't have, doesn't mean they should allow it again, so that it's "fair". So let's all give Buckee his "props" and laugh off this ugliness, and get back to important stuff... ...like that awesome bloody t-shirt! It just shows that there are double standards all over America for women and many other groups. And we have one running for President too:eek: Now all of a sudden the contest is not appropriate for these forums but it was appropriate for the men at the time:confused: Just one of those other things that make you go hhhmmmm;) Really these are hunting forums and ran by Realtree so it's up to them what get's put in here. This way only clean pics the each member wants entered can be added. I got A LOT of laughs out of it Thanks everyone;) Not having a Mrs. or Miss Realtree is not fair we did for one why not the other??? But I understand why we are hesitant. Regardless I'm not really a big fan of any of these popularity contest we are having...... Our turkey and deer contest are GREAT but these popularity contest we are thinking about.....well we are playing with fire and SOMEONE sooner or later is going to get mad or get their feelings hurt.... I don't mind someone telling me I am not a winner of a contest because I am ugly or not personable or whatever, but if my baby doesn't win, I am going to want to know why, and when you tell me it is because he is whatever, I am not going to be happy. I am pretty sure that would go for just about every parent in here. Instead of a baby contest, why not just have a baby or youngster thread where everyone can post a pic of their kid.
