Give me something that blends at 20 yrds. I would love big patterens ,like one arm this and a leg that and so on. just look at your bow or site ,they look good holding in your hand ,but at 20 yrds. what do we see a dark bow . Same with clothes,a dark glob. If you put on a pair of worn-out jeans and a jean shirt, climb up in a tree then take a black and white photo and you tell me what camo you should be wearing. Hardwoods look good in the room ,but at 20 yrds. a big black glob of a human. Bill's going the right way with his new camo ,but not far enough for me yet. Give me open grays and lite and dark brown ,with black sticks in it ,but real open one whole leg of gray with the sticks and one arm with lite brown and sticks. Camo me at 20 yrds. not 20 ins I don't know if anybody else feels this way,but i don;t lay on the ground ,coming ,or going, or stalking I'm upright walking camo me please at 20 yrds. you can do it!!! The unmentionable M.O. brand is way too dark and I think leads to the situation you are describing. The open patterns of Realtree, especially the new AP and APG is nice and open and light in colors. I had countless deer within touching range this year, wearing my Realtree. The new AP and APG is even better. Even though I own MO, RT camo is much more effective at 20 to 200 yards! MO breakup is too dark. Once I wear this stuff out, it will all be the AP or APG! Even the old Hardwoods blends in better! But, the new AP and APG is even more effective at blending in! But, the new AP and APG is even more effective at blending in! yes i do like this new pattern,will be upgrading this year to it . but i would like to make this same pattern 2x larger. you and i both know why that pic. got picked and we also know you can find places where that same camo will be out- of- place. the lighter the better for trees. Leafy type camo definitely has it's place, but around here, especially once the leaves start falling, you are pretty much a blob in a bare tree, when in a stand. I use Hardwoods and Advantage Timber, but as I start replacing my camo, I will be looking to more open paterns. This is a good pic that shows perfect camo for a winter treestand.... This is a good pic that shows perfect camo for a winter treestand.... that i like have some that might be that pattern also. it was about 15 yrs old snow camo . i dyed it with black to get it to a gray and it looked good ,but wore out thanks for the pic. My thoughts exactly the new AP and APG are by far the best camo patterns on the market as of now. This pattern has great depth and I think at 20 yards it blends in just fine. The main objective here is to break up the human outline. The best camo brands for that are the "ugly" camo. ASAT,Predator,Sticks n Limbs.
