TKLambert
Well Ive held off all year waitin out for the bucks, but the years winding down and the freezer is empty, so I finally gave in a killed a doe. Ive gotten several pics of nice bucks around the stands, but they are all moving at night. Last year I put off getting meat til the last second and about went home empty handed. Although it was a doe, it was good to finally pull the trigger and they also need to be thinned out around our place too! 6 came out in the small plot about 25 minutes before dark, but it took 15 minutes before I could ever get a shot off. They all stayed together like a fish bait ball and would never seperate. Finally a squirrel scattered them just enough I could pick one out! MichiganHunter
heck i'd take a doe, they eat really nice. You might try a deer drive if u can get some people around, they work pretty good here in michigan. we've killed 6 doe and 3 bucks in the last 2 years on deer drives, between me, dad, uncle and a good friend of mine.
