wtnhunt
Got my replacement bow in yesterday from the bowshop who finally got it in from pse, no complaints there getting a new bow to replace the bow with the cracked limb is a good deal despite the wait. The new bow was all set up with my sight, rest, and all the stuff from my old bow. The bowtech was not in so I never drew the bow there or shot it. I knew something did not feel quite right drawing it when I got home. I figured out the draw length is too short. Think it is set at 28.5 inches, my draw length is 30 inches, and it just feels awkward. The bow does have an adjustable draw length(28-31 inches), but not sure if I can adjust it without a press? It is a pse bow, and there are 2 allen screws on the cam with marks I am assuming for the different lengths. Old bow had a set draw at 30 inches. Anyone know if the bow has to be in a press to adjust the length, and what marks I will need to go to for 30 inch draw? The shop is 35-40 minutes away, and not likely I will be able to get back over that way for at least a week.
arrow32
The marks I have no idea. About the length a press is highly advised. But I have saw some people do with with out. Just pull the string in towards the cam and push the limb down a little and you can do it. My best offer would be just take it back and have them do it. Straight Shooter
Put it in a press for safety sake. If the cam has a module adjustments on it then you'll need to take the tension off of it. My Martin has the same scribe marks on the cam and making that adjustment requires the tension off the string.

Kind of what I figured. Looking at the cam stop, I cannot even see the mark for 30 inch, so I am going to just take it back sometime later on, probably will have to wait until after the first of the year though:(
Straight Shooter
Those marks should be for 1/2" increments. Good luck and better safe than sorry,, Merry Christmas!
Dogg6
My Browning can be changed without a press. Just remove the 2 screws and the inner part rotates. Since PSE and Browning are pretty much the same company, I do not think a press is needed. I did mine myself when I first got it. Check your owners manual or possibly go online to get a copy of it. I got my manual online. It explains it very well. If nothing else call PSE service #. I'm sure they could help you do it.

Thanks, this new bow is a replacement for my old bow that had a limb crack. I did not get an owners manual with it. Guess I will try to see if I can find it online. wtnhunt
Well, took my bow in yesterday, and the tech said it had to have a different module for a 30 inch draw, he did not have one in the shop so it will be a couple more weeks. I did shoot it some with the draw length too short, and had pretty good groupings at 15 and 20 yards, but it sure did not feel right.
