If you read my post about hunting above the bow shop well Wensday night me and my buddy headed out we got in the stand and sat about 20 minutes and there were deer everywhere!!

I had them in front of me and everything then these 2 doe start walking down off the hill towards us and this one doe was a monster she was about 4 years old we thought. Anyway She came right under neath the pine we was in and stopped. It was a pretty angled shot because we were up hill a little as well. I made the shot and thwack she went down and it looked like a good shot little high but a good shot. And then she fell over in the creek and then went up around the side of the hill. That night we tracked her till 9:00 and never found here. Yesterday they looked all morning becuase I couldn't get out of school tracked her to some huge brush. Then last night I crawled through all this brush with my buddy looking for her its just so thick you can't get through it.:( We all know she is dead we just can't find her.

Made me sick 1. Because I was hunting up above the shop and really hated to lose one with him letting me hunt there. 2. Just because I hate to lose deer.

Put in over 10 hours of looking and I have enough scratchs on my face and hands to show worked for that thing.:(

Good news tho he asked when I was coming back to hunt. Last night them deer were back under my stand.

I'm going to go shoot my BH's today.

Were you finding much blood?

I hate loosing them too. But unfortunatly it sometimes happens. You'll learn to take less low margin shots and learn to track better the more you hunt. It just happens over time.

Sorry you can't find her. I've spent days looking only to find out the deer wasn't dead. I hit one in the shoulder years ago and ended up seeing him trailing does a month later. Deer are tuff.

That's too bad...it happens...we've all lost one at some point. Andy shot a doe this year during archery, he had a good angled shot because it was almost under his stand, he said the arrow went in by it's shoulders but didn't come out. We found a few pieces of the arrow but not the broadhead end and we never found the deer... he was sure she had to be dead and while there was blood, not a great amount of it. It's hard when you can't figure out what went wrong
