Hoosierbuck
Friday the 21st of December: I hunted a farm nobody has hunted for years, and it showed. I shot 3 deer within 8 minutes, with a muzzleloader, seated on a log in a brush pile maybe 5 feet off the ground. Never done that before-2 in 20 minutes with a muzzleloader, yes, but never 3 with any weapon in one day, much less at one time. Those plus the others from this year mean that I have more than enough meat for the year. I sense a big batch of jerky and a few roasts being doled out for Christmas! Better get cracking and get them butchered!
Tominator
3 Deer, in 8 minutes! Sheesh. That would be impossible in Ohio. Congrats.
Hoosierbuck
Impossible or illegal? I am pretty sure traveling one state to the East would not significantly impede my rate of fire with a muzzleloader...or maybe you are insinuating that Ohio deer are intellectually superior to our Indiana deer? Around here we try to kill them the first time we shoot at them, so as to abruptly end the learning curve! Just messin' wit ya... HB
Guest csod08
I shot 3 deer within 8 minutes Heck I'm lucky to see 3 deer in a day here in PA...let alone 8 minutes. haha
wtnhunt
Congratulations. All about timing, and it is funny sometimes how they will hang around after a shot. This years ml opener, had a little doe hang around for a good while after I shot my deer, pretty cool that I was able to get that on video. Have had plenty of opportunites here with the rifle where deer have stood around or had more deer come out after shooting one, but have not ever shot 3 in one day. Actually last year, I shot a buck following a group of 4 does, had another buck come in behind right after my shot following another doe, then had deer come through again as I was walking back. Butchering your own 2 deer in a day is a good bit of work, I would not want to have to deal with 3.

Max 2 in one day, only after the first is temporarily tagged.
Hoosierbuck
No daily maximum, you have a bag limit and that's that. We do not have to affix temporary tag if the deer is not out of our control until you go to transport it in a vehicle, but the tag must be filled out, "immediately upon kill."
