Strut10
Invest in a pop-up blind, a rangefinder and a 3-D turkey target.

Covehnter
Pattern birds, invest in a roomy ground blind, and would really consider gobbler guillotines. . . . . loosing a bird do to a misplaced shot is too large a price to pay. Good Luck, its quite a challenge.

RUTNSTRUT
You would be better off shooting your hellrazors than those gobbler guillotines they are junk. Go with what you are familiar with and you will be just fine.

Covehnter
You would be better off shooting your hellrazors than those gobbler guillotines they are junk. Go with what you are familiar with and you will be just fine. Take a chance at misplacing a shot to the body a couple inches and let your bird die far away never to be found. Misplace a shot at the head and the bird lives to gobble and be chased another day. Its a no brainer to me after havin' it happen . . . . . a longbeard is too precious in my book. Ethan Givan
You will need a pop-up blind for sure. Set your decoys close, around 15 yards or so. I personally will not shoot at a turkey with a bow if its farther than 20 yards away because the target is so small. I use my deer hunting broadheads. Shot a turkey with them last year and it didnt go anywhere.
Guest turkeynutz64
Do you shoot instinctive or sights? I have taken all my bow turkeys with out using a blind. I shoot 100% instinctive and found that a blind henders me more than helps! You just got to set up right to get the right shot on the bird. I like using ceders for cover mostly, we have alot here! It is the best feeling when you stick that bird, better than sticken a 12pter! Good luck!
Will_in_cky25
this year is the first year i go turkey hunting with a bow and i can't wait cause i heard the success rate was nearly nothing and i like those odds.
RUTNSTRUT
Since you seem to like NAP broadheads I would try the Spitfires or the Spitfire Gobbler getters in the same weight as your **** razors. You can't go wrong with a good expandable on turks with good shot placement. Well w/good shoot placemement any head should work. But expandables are the best for turkeys. Magnus also has a new head out called the Bull head. That thing looks awesome, tough and accurate from all reports. I would be getting the bullhead but I have a bunch of Spitfires and Rage 2 blades left. Thats another one that would be good for you Rage 2 blade very devastating on turkeys. One other thing is don't be afraid to put your dekes close to your blind, like 5-7 yards away. It may seem too close but if he hangs up,that gobbler may still be in range. Remember "Hit them high watch them die,Hit em low watch them go." Good luck and most importantly HAVE FUN.
turkaholic
If you choose to hunt without a blind I would suggest taking another hunter to do the calling. Your chances are stronger with that old tom looking for someone else, not you. I also have had good luck with spitfire Gobbler getters.
