birdhunter39
here"s a tip i went to a flea market an found 3 doz. mallard decoy"s for $90.00 , buy video's , there"s a paper called the bargin finder , where they sell almost anything , the best time to buy used decoys is after the hunting season because alot of people don"t have the space for them or they didn"t like waterfowl hunting . i mainly pass shot for waterfowl for right now, but i enjoy it best of luck
98chevy
Take your time getting into it so it doesnt break your wallet. luckly my brother shairs the same passion for ducks as i do. So we split some stuff like decoys. But dont get caught up in the latest and greatest cuss the old stuff has worked for years and willl work for you. I spent alot on final approach and green head decoys this year. I have 9 dozen decoys. I cut my price down by buying a cheaper boat. I run a 2003 war eagle DU eddition. I dodnt want to buy a brand new one and not like it. M boat is 14' long and 36" wide. Ive decided I want a 15' long boat and it to be 48" so i can hole little more gear and feal safer in rough waters. I guess im trying to say is start slow and figure our what works befre buying and getting rid off. Used like your doing is a great idea. I hav some many decoys cuss I knew what worked. good luck and make um fall
DU_man_84
But dont get caught up in the latest and greatest cuss the old stuff has worked for years and willl work for you. i like this quote, these days everyone is jumping on the bandwagon, i will admit decoys these days look awesome and some inventions these days are pretty cool, but shooting ducks is shooting ducks, i kill em pretty much the same way they did back in the day, havent really gotten into the new interventions, the robo duck is the newest thing in my spread pretty much, still hunt over the old flambo decoys and still kill ducks and geese day in and day out
Randy
Video's and websites will surely help, although spending some cash on a good guide and going on a hunt with someone that knows waterfowling will save you lots of money in the long run. Good luck!
