LifeNRA
A full size press is nice, but I can not see me buying one either! Which I why I bought the portable Bowmaster bow press. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?type=pod&id=0004582
Straight Shooter
Change cams, change modules, reserve strings, change limbs, change axles and bushings, pretty much anything you want to do to a bow a press is a must. LifeNRA is right; the bowmaster press is a must, this little dude is the stuff. Take that little booger with you anywhere and work on a bow. JMO its more practical than a ful sizes press. You can't put a full size press in your lap and work on the bow. The bowmaster allows you todo this with ease.
Grant-KS
A bow press allows you to completely disassemble a bow. Twisting/untwisting string/cables for draw length adjustments, changing strings/cables, installing peep sights, dropaway rest cords, cleaning limb pockets, cleaning/greasing axles, changing limbs, etc. If you want to do any work on your bow, get a press. I had a limb bolt/barrel nut strip out on a bow that I have, limb came off, everything loose. I got replacement limbs, cams, axles, limb rockers, the works, and put it all together myself with my Bowmender press. Since I've gotten it, I've never taken a bow to the archery shop. All I've gotta do is order a new set of custom strings, etc., and put it on.
