helical fletching

The more helical yes, its spins more; but more so it stablizes the broadhead and shaft alot quicker than a straight fletch. You just don't have as many options on a arrow rest with a helical fletch as you do with a straight, since you primary worry is vane clearance. If your shooting a whisker bisuit or drop away; then no worries.;)

As for the glue, if your getting much after it dries, then you putting to much on when fletching, just run a smaller bead of glue. I usually just shave the excess off with a blade but I don't use wraps so I would suggest to just shave a little at a time to not damage the wraps.:)

What he said! ;) I use a straight fletch with a Whisker Biscuit. Carolina Archery does not recommend a helical going through their rest. Results in damage to the biscuit, and arrow speed loss. But you can still use it! As long as the bow is tuned, straight fletches work great! I learned this past summer about poorly tuned bows! Now I have field tips and broadheads hitting the same without any adjustments to the sight!
