SuperMn106
Can't answer that. Florida is still ranked higher. That is one thing that I never did get in college football. One team beats another and the team that lost is still ranked higher. Also, If you play in the National Championship game and lose and you drop to 5th. I believe in any other sport if you lose the championship game the lowest you are ranked is 2nd. With all of that said, It is what it is. PS, Collge Football needs a playoff. JKAPP01
here's a tip for OSU if they make it to the national championship game next year. let the OTHER team score first. seems to be a bit of bad luck the last two years to come out firing and scoring right away. No kidding...it was like deja vu all over again. Actually, Florida and LSU were just more head strong. OSU should have known they'd come firing back on all cyclinders...they needed to man up. DSGB
That is why us SEC fans say it's tough to go undefeated in our conference. Our teams play five or six games like that a year. They have to overcome adversity and not let being behind on the scoreboard get to you. That's what happened to UGA against UT this year. Tennessee came out and knocked the Bulldogs in the mouth and they never recovered. By the time Foster scored his third TD is was all over. Whoever wins the SEC knows that they had to battle to get to where they are. LSU lost a couple overtime games this year, but they also overcame being down by 10 three times, at least. It was just another game. Whereas OSU had a cakewalk to get to the championship game, not playing anyone ranked in the top 20.

For the record, I didn't say it was easy to go undefeated in the SEC. It's a deep conference as far as sheer #'s of good teams go. Having two seperate divisions and a conference title game only add to that fact too. I'd say every year the SEC usually has 5 or 6 very solid teams...where as the Big 12, Big 10 and Pac 10 will have 4 or 5. I just don't think...and never will think, that the SEC is faster, better when it comes to individual teams etc... This year wasn't the best for the Big 10, teams that are usually solid had down years (Michigan, Penn State, Iowa, and Wisconsin pop to mind first) and the Buckeyes really didn't have as good of a team as they usually do either. But most years, I'll put OSU, Michigan, PSU, Iowa and Wisconsin up agaisnt the top five schools in any conference. But like you said, it was obvious LSU knew how to handle adversity a lot better than this OSU team.
