MCH
Well, guys, I've heard from everyone except one, deer_huntin_k_man. Therefore, rhine16 will step in as the 10th team. Please print off these for your records: Rules Draft Team List Draft Order Player List* *This is very important. It is a list of players drafted in an "expert" draft performed this month. All players that are being kept on active rosters are marked off. Look this over and make sure I haven't forgotten someone. Also, Muggsy, if you could print copies of this for Matt, I would appreciate it. Remember, draft is in February. Trades can still happen, guys. Notify me as soon as a trade has been agreed upon. MCH
Guys, I've updated the Draft Order sheet in order to change a couple of things. It has come to my attention that when a manager trades a keeper for say a 3rd draft pick, in reality they are trading a 3rd draft pick AND losing a late round draft pick(due to the keeper being on their roster). This forces the manager to have to select from the free agent list in order to fill that vacancy. That is not what I am wanting to happen. I want to encourage trades. So, as of now, anytime a keeper is traded for draft picks, that keeper is not counted against the manager come draft time. Just to give you an example to better help you understand the situation: Eric and I made two trades this year. One was Verlander for a 2nd and 15th round pick and the other was Haren for a 3rd round pick. OK, while filling out everyone's draft sheets, I placed Verlander and Haren at the end of Eric's draft order. He did some simple math and realized that he only had 11 picks(traded 3 picks and had 6 keepers) in the draft and 6 keepers. That adds up to 17 players, 3 short of the league requirement. So basically, it was detrimental for him to make those trades. Trades and keepers are what make this league fun. If you think this is unfair, PM me and we'll discuss it. Thanks, Kevin
