brownie65
I am still out there . Go a few afternoons when I have time. Yes, it seems some are dropping antlers. I have a couple buddies that have already found a few sheds & said they have seen several half racked bucks. All the bucks I have seen still have full sets. MUDRUNNER
I'm still hunting, but not near as much since gun season.I'll probably get out a few more times and I'm going to try and take my 4 year old daughter out for the late antlerless firearm season. Mach1
I've been out once since Muzzleloader season. My dad has noticed many guys still out hunting, but we've not been seeing many deer out feeding until after dark, even when it's been cold. Therefore we've been concentrating on waterfowl hunting instead. I'll be out for the antlerless season because I've got two unfilled firearm tags and I don't need anymore tag soup. bowin_in_illinois
Sorry....forget I mentioned it...lol I got to my stand around 2:30 yesterday, because they have been moving between 3-4 o'clock. I got up in my stand, pulled my bow up, and before I could even get an arrow nocked or my release on...15 doe ran by me. I got my act together and a few minutes later I saw why they were running. a few bucks were chasin' them...one of them "that guy" up there. Never got another look at those does again until dark when I was walkin' out. It is about 8 weeks after the rut, so I guess second rut is kickin' in. It has been a fun few days. I have seen a lot of deer activity. That and I saw 36 turkeys yesterday too.
