lumleychad
I havn't really heard to much about the traditions muzzleloaders but i know that the cva's are under that price range. I seen the cva on sell from cabelas for 99 dollars and 179.00 for the starter set that comes with the scope.
wtnhunt
For around $300 you can get an omega, which I would think most would consider to be better than decent. Think that would be my choice.
brownie65
I just bought a optima. It was well under that price. I have been thinking about getting one for quite awhile so have been checking several out & prices on them. With $300+/- a few dollars either way, you have several choices. Look around, lot of sales going on now, you will have plenty of options in your price range.
LETMGROW
We have three Traditions Pursuits in our family and all are excellent shooters and have had no problems yet. My wife has a Pursuit Pro LT which is extremely fast handling and light to carry. In my opinion there are a lot of good MZ's out there. If I were you I'd handle as many as possible and pick the one you feel best with. Lynn P.S. I did have a problem with a Traditions inline a few years back, I called the company and had a new part overnighted to me at no charge. This was followed up with a phone call from the company a couple days later to see if all was well. Great service, I thought.
PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
Do not buy the Traditions Buckskinner I have one and it won't shoot worth a darn. It is a sidelock percussion. I swear it has a 49 cal barrel as no bullet/sabot will fit unless I literally pound it down the barrel. That is with a clean barrel try it without swabbing and the second shot just will not go down. I found it has no trade in value either so I am stuck with it. One of these days I will get it out and do more experimenting with it. Right now it rests comfortably way back in the safe.
