Hoyt03
Ok I recently read somewhere about how to choose the correct weight broadhead for the arrows your shooting. Something like take the balance point with the BH on and subtract this from the center point of the arrow, take this difference and divide it into the total arrow length and you should be within 9 to 13%. I'm just trying to figure out if i'm shooting the proper grain BH. I'm shooting a 30" beman ics hunter 340 arrow with 100 gr BH. My 30 " arrow balances 12" from the front tip leaving 18 inches behind the balance pt. If my equation above was correct then I have 3 inches to the center of the arrow, and divide that by 30" gives me 10% which is in the optimum range. Is that correct or is there a better way to figure out if your shooting the right weight BH
