jerdanmagic
I've been wanting a cheap little .22LR pistol for my tackle box for a while. I don't need anything very nice, just a snake charmer. A guy that works for me has a chrome Jennings J-22 that he inherited, but has never shot. I've searched online for them and I've been really hard-pressed to find very many kind words for this gun. Anybody have any experiences with one? I'm gonna shoot it this week to see what I think. Thanks!
LifeNRA
Take your money and add a little more and get something else! They jam too much! Not worth the money! JMHO!
jerdanmagic
I put two mags through it and it never once fired two consecutive shots without a jam. No thanks. No deal.
okiedog
WOW! Talk about coincidence! While at my moms this weekend finishing up our Christmas trips she handed me a pistol and said " you can have this if you want it". Exact same gun you are talking about. Hey.... its a free gun, So I was taking:D! Your right on the function of this gun, and after doing some searching on the internet this week about, I didn't find too many kind words about it. I did read one artical where a guy said his would not shoot the chrome CCI bullets but it did fine with another brand ( I don't remember which one though). I have yet to TRY and shoot it, but for what I've got in it I can do so tinkering with it. One guy had an artical about making it more reliable. I'll play with it and see what happens. Would I buy this gun knowing what I know now? NO Would I take this gun if someone (Mom) gave it to me free? YOU BET!
Strut10
First handgun I ever bought. Still have it. At one time it worked O.K. But through useage it just plumb wore out. I suppose it was killed in under 1000 shots. First the safety quit working. Then the chrome plating cracked. Then the slide started flying off. I'm keeping it around.........waiting for one of those idiotic "gun buybacks".........where they give you $50 to turn in a gun to the cops for melting down. Heck......I didn't even pay $50 for it new.
Hoosierbuck
The "J" is for "junk" how about one of those little derringers? For a tackle box/snake gun that might do fine. HB
jerdanmagic
I've been looking around and I think that I am set on the North American Arms 22 LR Revolver that has the foldout handle grip. I think it will be perfect for the tackle box.

Especially if loaded
LETMGROW
AH, Yes, the Jammin' Jennings. I have one of those critters myself. I may have fired more than 3 shots in a row without a jam but I can't say for sure. I have tried so many bullet combos it isn't funny. I bought it new cheap and got less than I paid for. OH, and accurate? If you were inside a 55 gallon drum and fired the "J" you MIGHT hit the side of the drum. As a self defense piece, tie a string to it and you might be able to conk someone up side the head with it!
