LifeNRA
Lay the wrap sticky side up. Then place the arrow firmly down on the mouse pad. Move the edge of the shaft to the corner of the wrap. When it moves ever so slightly, slide the rest of the shaft over to the wrap. Once the wrap moves again, push down firmly and roll! Done! buckee
APPLYING ARROW WRAPS by need2hunt If I've missed something, and you have more to add feel free to bring it up, this is so people can learn and maybe get involved in another area of archery. Putting wraps on arrows is "EXTREMELY EASY". You'll need to wipe down your arrow shafts with soap and water, rubbing alcohol (and then dry them) so there's no dust or oil residue on the shaft. Other than your arrow shaft you'll just need a foam mousepad and your wraps... Take one of the wraps off the paper and lay it sticky side up an the mousepad... Take your arrow shaft and line it up parralel to the wrap, whatever distance from the nock you prefer (I have mine butting up to the nock) Now start rolling the shaft over the wrap, applying light downward pressure. Continue rolling, proceeding until the entire wrap is on the arrow shaft. Apply pressure with your finger along the wrap to work any air bubbles out and get good adhesion. And that's all there is to it!!! Here's a pic of the finished wrapped and fletched arrow. Like I said I'll post a how to on fletching once I can get some pics. stringpicker
Very well done Steve, the mouse pad is the easiest way to put them on. I just started putting my own wraps and fletching my arrows this year and I find it extremely addicting. I love seeing wraps on arrows...I think it trims them out well. Also I think that it is easier to refletch them. When I tried to refletch an arrow that didn't have a wrap I found myself cutting into my arrow alittle, but with the wrap it is easy to take them off. I have heard to put it under hot water and it loosens the glue on the warp but it works good till you get to the fletching and then it is harder. That is when I get a utility knife and stick one of those hawk-bill blades in it (any hardware store) and it works great! 8ptbuckpa has got me wantin to make some custom wraps. Right now I got the orange Team Realtree ones on with one orange and two white feathers.
