To those who wrote off the Mountaineers yet again...

They were mentioned of course in the thread about FraudRod, but, my "IN YOUR FACE" comment was mainly directed towards ESPN, local news and so on about the whole thing where West Virginia couldn't do it without him, etc, .... and we flat out proved "them" wrong.

LOL....sorry, was just a little confused about who you were talking about.

Again, congrats on a great win :D

REAL fans don't have to wait until something like this happens to talk about their team. We will talk about our team anytime we get a chance, we are fans after every game, not just when they win ;)

Here is my only question does a real fan as you call it bad mouth there team and complain and just plain out cry like a little girl when there coach goes 0-12?

If I recall where I was at I was sitting infront of the tv god as my wittness crying my eyes out. So close but it goes by the way. We don't boast and talk BS like you guys they just show up and get the job done. We don't feel we need to maybe?

Always have stood behind WVU behind much worse years than they have been having in the past few and always will be a WVU fan. But just because I don't gloat before every game means nothing.

I've had a WV sticker on my truck window for over 25 years. I've lived and been all over this world and proudly wear my WVU hat, sweater, t-shirt no matter where I go. I'm damn proud to be a Mountaineer and leave it at that. I just don't choose to be arrogant about it by predicting the future thinking we're better than anyone. Thinking that way is what bit UGA and OU in the a$$. I'm sure someone will think the same next year that forgot history.

I don't get it. LOL

1. You aren't a true fan if you aren't on here bragging about every game you win or crying about losing a game.

2. You're automatically classified as a bandwagon jumper if you come on here only posting about winning a bowl game.

3. Just because I don't come on a web forum bragging about my favorite team all the time doesn't mean that I'm not a fan year round.

4. If you really knew me, you'd know how big of a Mountaineer fan that I am, whether it be football, basketball, baseball, or soccer, it doesn't matter. I'm a diehard fan, see my avatar.. which has been there for months.

5. Sure, Michigan got our head coach and now you are attacking us over bitter feelings we might have had WEEKS ago? Believe me, that's old news. BUT, we still reserve the right to call him FraudRod forever because well, it's true. After all, he is being sued.

6. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought you were one heck of a sore loser from Oklahoma, but so far all the Okies that have replied to this thread have been super classy, so kudos to them!

Some people just need to get over themselves I guess.

Great post Alisha I'll second the some people need to get over themselves.

your right, you guys are great fans, we should all follow in your steps...Mods, close the sports room.

we are not allowed to talk about sports TEAMS in the SPORTS room :D:confused:

dg go ahead and use the word gloat...but you forget that this post was STARTED with the INTENTIONS of GLOATING!:confused::rolleyes:

was it not? after the win, like moths to a flame all of the WV fans come in and claim how great they are because after all, they only talk about their team if they win, but they aren't gloating:rolleyes:

BTW...I am one of the few that doesn't "gloat". I'll discuss my team, defend them if need be, but you won't see me running in here after a win, just to "gloat" ;)

have a nice night...i have to go "get over myself" now:rolleyes:

yes...and no...;)...a real fan will be there looking at both the positives and the negatives, and still support the team, i've bad mouthed my favorite teams before, predicted loses, claimed they'd win a certain game, only to have them lose. its all part of being a fan. ;)

And he and his family are also receiving death threats for leaving West Virginia. Name-calling is one thing, but threatening the lives of a man and his family is nothing short of insane.

It would seem as though a few "fans" have gone too far over his move north.

At the core, football is a GAME. Respect of others and the choices they make in the best interest of themselves and their families is essential to LIFE.

Congrats on your bowl win, and, in our neck of the woods, it was nice to see Michigan play to their potential and send an old coach out on a high note. :)

No matter where you go, there are always going to be some nut cases that want to threaten someones life, whether you are a football coach, the leader of a country, or just a flat out nobody. If you step on the wrong persons toes, they'll be out to get you. Plain and simple. THAT is what you call life.

Some people take football to the extreme, but what Rod did to his former team was dirty, no matter what way you look at it. I'm sure if someone waved a couple million $$ more in my face than what I was making at the present time, I'd leave too... ONLY after finishing what I started. He was doing what any person would do by looking out for his family.... but he stepped out on his West Virginia (fans) family and left us all behind with a bad taste in our mouth. I'm sure you and all the other Michigan fans would feel the same way if the same thing was done to you. At least your head coach stuck around and coached his bowl game, even after Rod was already there to take his place. Would have liked to see how well Michigan would have done had your team been coached by a back up.

Call me bitter if you want, but I know where my heart is..... and that's with Coach Stewart and my Mountaineers.

Let me say this, I'am a Michigan fan and your former coach was not my first choice. But I guarantee you if you where in the same position as him you would do the same thing!!!! That is how college football works, there is never a good time for a coach to leave one program for another, unless he is fired. Congrats on the big win and good luck.
