Guest cowboy89 Posted January 4, 2008 Report Share Posted January 4, 2008 me and my little brothr went out ice fishing last night and cought 30 bluegills in a 1 1/2 hours the biggest one was 10 inches . the smallest one was 8 inches. would have pictures but the camera wouldn't work last night. muggs Posted January 7, 2008 Report Share Posted January 7, 2008 What do you use for bait? You can't get those things to bite here in the winter for anything!!! Yeah, for gills, I use really small pinnman jigs and maggots or waxworms. In our lakes, I usually find gills in deep water, but they're suspended about 10-15 feet off the bottom. Crappies, I use the same jigs, but I tip them with minnows. They'll either be right on the bottom, or sometimes they'll be just a few feet below the ice.
