woodsman2230
Hey guys, I was looking at getting an archery target for the back yard and I saw the yellow jacket target. I noticed that in the cabelas magazine they have it listed as the "Morrel Broadhead Only Target" My question is, why cant you shoot field tips into it as well? Would they pass right through it because there is nothing cutting into it and slowing it down? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. BearClaw
Quite the contrary. I don't know what it is made of but the fieldpoints will be extremely hard to pull out. It's great for broadheads and that's the one I use and it holds up great with the broadheads. But believe me, fieldpoints will feel like they got superglued in the target! If you're looking for a good broadhead target, this is it!
arrow32
Have heard from another forum member here that they don't stop the field points as well as the BH's. I just use the regular bag for my shooting then have an old 3D target for my BH shooting.

This target is strictly for broadheads only! ;)

When I bought mine, my younger cousin (16 at the time)was over the first time I shot at it. ran inside the house for something, and when I came out I see him pulling with all he had to try and get an arrow out. I asked him what the heck he was doing, and he said he shot a field tip at it. my response..."Its not call the Morrell yellow Jacket BROADHEAD target for nothing moron!" (he just shook his head) took a bit of muscle, but I got it out. even some broadheads are a little tough, I bought one of those gripper things and they pull out no problem with that. Overall It is a great target, mine is still in good shape after having it for a couple years and putting a ton of shots in it. I usually start off with field tips early in the spring/summer, then when it gets closer to fall I pull out the yellow jacket and shoot just broadheads

For broadheads it is great though.
