hunterfisherman
I'm getting ready to start building a Hawkins 50 cal from scratch. This is my first attempt at something like this. I have everything I need except something to polish the brass parts. I'd like to put a really shinny finish on them. Anyone have anything good they use or know about

RangerClay
I have made several ML kits. If it is a CVA kit you will need much more than brasso. Try to find someone with a buffing/polishing wheel. If you have a grinding machine, try to find a buffing wheel and compound stick. The last hawkin kit I did, I spent several hours polishing the brass.
brownie65
back in my Army days we used brasso & a soft cloth like Tominator said. It would polish even the most tarnished brass. That has been several years ago. By now they might have some better brass cleaners.
