Strut10
Had to take a quick trip to town yesterday afternoon about 4:00. There's a cornfield right beside the highway that commonly has turkeys in it at all hours of the day. Nothing out in the field. But at the far edge, right up against the woods were easily 12 to 15 toms standing.......ALL in full strut!!! Kinda got my thick, winter blood to pumping a bit. Tominator
Wow, that's pretty early eh? I've seen one or two strut in February, but never January.

Rhino
Sounds like a little pecking order business was going on. Won't be long before I'm scouting hard for birds.
PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
I love to see those toms in full strut. About every summer I watch the fields that run right up on the mt for turkeys. For the past several years I have had the pleasure of watching a group of anywhere from 5 to 10 toms going up those fields every night to roost. I have seen them as late as September going into full strut but I don't watch this time of year. It is cold enough to freeze my nether parts to the old picnic table bench. Those fields are about 3/4 mile away so I have to use spotting scopes to see em.
