hogwild63
See my post on the other thread. Same thing happened to me on the Patterns/Camo Survey. Camo Survey took me to "Favorite Camo Survey/Favorite Camo Results", not "Take Survey". At least I know I am not going crazy
Straight Shooter
Re: SITE HUNT-TR and admin. wtnhunt, I wish I could help out on some of the problems your having on finding the icons. But, I don't think that is any reason for trying to make the ones who did feel guilty on entering the contest. I've missed two of the contest myself, but didn't blame anyone but myself and my glitchy computer. My luck is like yours and I'll probably never win anything, but I keep trying. Team Realtree
Re: SITE HUNT-TR and admin. I'm not sure what the problem is here? We had no other complaints about the site hunt this past month. Are you saying that you went to pages that you knew the icons were on and they did not show up? Did you try emptying your cache? hogwild63
Re: SITE HUNT-TR and admin. Scott, No, I did not know where the icon was. That was the problem. I found out after the contest that the icon I could not find (#1) was found by going to Patterns/Camo Survey/Take survey. When I clicked on Patterns, then Camo Survey, it took me to "Favorite Camo Survey" (which has a map to click on one of the states) not "Take Survey" where the icon was reported to be. If I clicked on a state on the map, it would take me to "Favorite Camo Results". The point is I never had a chance because the page the icon was on (Take Survey), would not come up for me; and it still does not. So as a result, I spent alot of time searching for places where the icon was not, like Products/Product Guide/ALL THE PRODUCT CATAGORIES. Same for the recipes; Community/Real Cookin' Recipes/ALL THE RECIPES! I stopped searching for icon #1 when I saw posts that everyone but me and wtnhunt could not find it. Then I knew something was up as I know I searched the WHOLE site and was on my 2nd run through. No biggie, but I thought this info might be helpful. Maybe not. [ QUOTE ] but didn't blame anyone but myself and my glitchy computer. [/ QUOTE ] Straight shooter, This time I blame neither. I don't blame TR either, One of those things they could not foresee. Straight Shooter
Re: SITE HUNT-TR and admin. Hogwild, I'm not trying to say anyone one here who can't find the icons, has a problem. I, in no way meant it that way. I know it's frustating to sit at the computer for a few hours and come up empty. I remember the second site hunt and #8 took me close to 4 days to find it. So, if I've instulted anyone, please accept my appology.
hogwild63
Re: SITE HUNT-TR and admin. That did it, Nick. i went into windows and deleted my entire cache- cookies and all. I now can see the link to take the survey. I am ready to play. However, I did not know you could log in on the main site.
Team Realtree
Re: SITE HUNT-TR and admin. Guys, I apologize. A contest like this is bound to have problems when you have so many obstacles to go through. We will continue to work on these. S
