Gus
Set the hog traps this past weekend and set the small live traps beside them as well. Didn't catch any hogs, but Sunday morning on my trap run this is what I caught A couple different pics of the second ringtail I have ever caught out at our place

Gus
they are in the racoon family--right? are they a legal furbearer animal like the racoon? Not sure what family they are in, but they are a legal furbearer here in Tx, not sure about other states. wikipedia lists them as a protected species? whats the trigger status down there on those things? they are bad ass looking! id like one for a pet LOL! You can pull the trigger on them down here. The two that I have caught I have released, but I have shot a few of them that came into calls while out predator hunting at night. That's awesome!!!!!!!!!! What do you use for bait? I usually just bait the smaller traps with whatever I am using in the hog traps. This time around it was melted starburst, my cousin works at a candy place back home and we get all different kinds of melted candy and other sweet things that we use in the traps.
