Strut10
Not if you're hunting groundhogs Luke. Oh....................I dunno, Al. Maybe you missed the pics I posted a while back of the 2 chucks I toasted with the .375 Wby. One at 160 yds and the other at 275 yds (there goes the "I can place my shots better with a little gun" argument out the door ). They were at least dead, if not deader. ...........then there was the chuck Hangunnr smacked at around 150-160 yds with his .458 Win Mag handgun the week of the OTPG Blast Off. Definitely deader. Rhino
True .. How have you been Al ?? Good I hope ... Great Luke. Obviously I've been in the woods a lot. Now that my tank is starting to run out of gas and I've only got 1 buck left in my 3 buck bag limit, I'll be around more often again. Strut10
The OTPG is just trying to compensate for something... Actually.......no. Were a quite contented bunch with nothing, really to compensate for. Wait.........there was a compensator on the .50 BMG we had at the Blast Off. I stand corrected. Straight Shooter
Hey you can't beat a 200 gr XTP being pushed out by a ton of powder and don't have to worry about the scope being knocked off, just what ever the bullet is hitting! HA Long live our bare barrels!
Strut10
Don'tcha just love the smell of 7828 and Reloader-25 burning early in the morning??? A pleasure the SCOPErs will never know.
hangunnr
It's all tongue in cheek bud, don't sweat it. Now Strut and Handgunner will talk a big game, but rest assured, they're just kidding. Yep, all in fun... Strut, Can you imagine the nightmares the Scopers would have if they saw we can actually walk the walk too.... hangunnr

HA Long live our bare barrels! I have to disagree with this as I shoot a 300 gr XTP and what I shoot is (as my 2 and a half year old son says) is much more deaderrrrrr....
Strut10
Strut, Can you imagine the nightmares the Scopers would have if they saw we can actually walk the walk too.... hangunnr I believe the vast majority of the little gun crowd would be scarred for life to witness an OTPG Blast Off. You know......the whole thing of fellers shooting big old mudhole stompers, hitting what they're shooting at (even at ultra-absurd distances) and being none the worse for wear when the shoot is over. I think the porch is a good, safe place for the SCOPErs to stay.

Strut10
Boy I can hardly wait for the OTPG spring fling this year!!!!!!! You won't be disappointed. Looking like the end of April/first of May.........probably the day after our spring gobbler opener. Once again, it'll be open to OTPG members as well as the power-intolerant. Only stipulation is NO LITTLE GUNS. If someone does not have an OTPG-eligible firearm to bring......they are more than welcome to shoot ours. Who knows???? We might convert somebody. PA_Spike_King
Where were you when they had the fall fling! I was looking for a rider! LOL! #1 I was having computer problems and #2 I had to watch/entertain my two children as my wife worked a bunch of Sundays so it was a no go for me. Now as for this spring I have already told my wife DON'T MAKE ANY PLANS AS I WILL MAKE IT TO THIS ONE.
buckee
Sounds like poor shot placement to me Steve. Step on to the porch and we'll get you straightened out. Pardon me for a little while, while I take all this fine non-blood shot deer meat to the processor from the buck I killed with my 30-378 Wby Mag. Saturday morning. :D No mess either...but sure will be some delicious sausage made from the front shoulders and hind quarters soon. BTW...enjoyed a delicious tenderloin last night too. The other along with the backstraps are in the freezer. Oh and took him to the taxidermist for a European mount after caping him out and got a $25 discount for the cape. You gotta know your OTPG weapon. What took you so long? My meat's been in the freezer for almost 2 months now :D Oh yeah..I forgot you OYPGer's can't see deer up too close through them fan-dangle scopes of yours either. :D:D:D (ain't it fun)
PA_Spike_King
Now buckee I killed my 8 point at 70 yards this year with my little 7 MAG but it does have a scope that goes to 18 power and it worked just great. LOL
Ripper
Proud to be a member of SCOPE. Long live the .308, heck, I'm even going to take out my .243 and shoot something!
