Guest Scottishhunter
Ignorance? How's that? Just because people have an imagein there head, as they aren'r as fortunate as say you or I to travel, they are ignorant? I to have seen the world, and I imagine to that quite a few people in Scotland would wear quilts, as we here in the good ole USA have been givin that stereo typical image. To me, when you call someone ignorant, that you don't know, that just shows your own ignorance. BTW, I saw how you stereotyped Southerners, guess that shows your ignorance as well. Heck, I HAVE seen man in a kilt, in Germany, he was the town mayor at that!!!! Just about everyone in my family has one (its kilt and not quilt by the way) in our Mathieson clan tartan (we're from the west Highlands) I just find it funny that tourists wear kilts though, I rather like them especially a true Scotsman style

Hey, im not saying that people have to travel to experiance a certain culture but in Scotland it is mandatory to study about different cultures especially the US with the history we have and vice versa (Plus i've always had a facination with your country so that helps). Scotland is a very literate country. Its with my learnings that I met my boyfriend Michael in Mississippi I heard so much about the South that I just went for a holiday and look what happened lol fate eh. Gator
Funny thing is, you talk down about the South, yet that is the main area that you wish to live when you come over. What is it you wanted to do, be in the aviation industry, well, that should be an EASY career field to get into, but I wonder if your education will even be recognized here, may be something to look into. And YES, I KNOW it is KILT, I am somewhat highly educated myself, but I learned in the real world, not from a book.
Guest Scottishhunter
Hi there, I would need to get my FAA dispatch license which will cost me £2000 which isn't bad considering the income i'd have but i think it would be alot more stressful there than here. I wouldn't be as harsh to say that i talk down about the entire South, there are some very nice places there and my other half of the family live there and are lovely people. If i really didn't like it that much i wouldn't be booked to go for 7 days in Nov

We are a group of good people here and as far as I have seen have been very patient with your uneducated remarks. If you like it here fine, if you dont thats fine too, but cut the crap. If you wanna talk hunting and fishing then lets talk. If not, go find another forum to disrupt. I for one am very tired of your smart remarks, and know for a fact alot of others are too. Do us all a favor and keep to the subject and funloving of this forum or leave. Cpl. Schweitzer UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS

Shaun_300
Well, with all drama aside from this post.... and I understand why you folks in the south are ticked about this! Have a great trip Jason. My dad has travelled to the UK plenty of times for business. He flies to London and then drives to Wales for work. He said the countryside is awesome, just a little crazy driving on those narrow roads and being on the wrong side of the road and wrong side of the car! :D:D
