colescott1
What do you all think of a 20" barrel for turkey? Mossberg's website shows an 835 with a 20" barrel for easy carrying through brush. How short is too short?

Strut10
Re: Mossberg 20\" barrel? I would say a 20" tube on a 3 1/2" gun is approaching "too short for optimum performance". Your velocity will suffer somewhat. I've not found too many situations where a 24" or 26" barrel was too long to maneuver.
Nut
Re: Mossberg 20\" barrel? My shotgun has a 28" barrel. It is also my waterfowl gun which is the reason for the length. Every length is manageable .
