Nick
So my parents have Charter cable and pay for the extended cable that gets us hundreds of channels. Well I live in central Michigan within 75 miles of both Michigan State University and the University of Michigan. But do you think I can ever watch a stinkin football or basketball game when either of the schools are playing??? No.....You have to have the stupid Big Ten network. And to make things even worse is that Charter doesnt offer the Big Ten network because it would be too expensive!! Sure, I get to see the games on ABC or ESPN...but thats only about 20% of them!! I think these additional channels like the Big Ten and NFL network are a crock. I would almost call it a monopoly because they are the only ones that televise the games making you have to order them channels to watch game. For the money you pay for extended cable, you should have the option to watch any game and every game you want. It makes me just wanna go ring somebody around the neck. I hear ya Nick, i'm not far from you and have Charter as well. Tired of missing out on games because of the big ten network , there were 2 michigan hoops games on espn this week, who knows when there will be another one (not that I expect them to win any of the , but it'd still be nice to watch em, plus there were a few football games i missed because of it . I would have been really ticked if the michigan/michigan state football game was on there. Heck, I can't even remember the last time I seen a Spartan Basketball game on tv this season . Guest Finn
Yep.....someone really needs to change that for cable companies. We had Time Warner Cable in NC and they didn't offer the NFL network.
Nick
You know why you havnt seen any Spartan BBall games this season? Last nights game against Purdue was on the Big10 network, and I just seen in todays paper that Saturdays game against Iowa is on the Big10 network!! They are ranked 6th in the nation and have a good chance at a final 4 appearance and we are gonna miss the whole run!! At least ESPN televised the UofM vs Indiana game last night so I was able to watch that.

bluelund79
My family and I have Charter also here in S.E. WI....Have had them for 3 years and we are finally sick of them. They have suck a stranglehold on the market here it is crazy. The rates have done nothing but go up, and the service has gone down. We are currently researching either Dish or Direct TV. I could care less which, just whomever will be cheaper and still get the kid channels for my son and the outdoor channels for me. The only good thing Charter had going for them was the bundle package w/ phone, internet, and cable all in 1 bill, now we are going to have 3 different ones again. Oh well, I can't stand Charter anymore so out they go...Plus when you call for problems, you get Haji that isn't even in your state and could care less about your problem because you can't find him anyways....Bye Bye Charter....
