natethebowhunter
I have a moultrie digital trail camera. in the winter months the camera always goes into this mode where it tells me the battery is low and stops taking pictures. as soon as i get the battery home i check it and it has full battery. my question is, is there a way to disable that display???"BATTERY LOW" is all it says across the screen. i cant figure it out. hoytman26
Had the same problem. I tried everything, new batteries, took it apart to check the connections. Then I called Moultrie and they told me I had to send it to them and pay for them to fix it. The camera was only 1 year old and I told them to shove it. Finally I smashed it against a tree in the woods when it was out for 2 days and no pics and low battery. I will never buy another moultrie camera again. wtnhunt
Just curious if this is one of the newer moultrie cams? They supposedly resolved several issues with their newer cams they had hitting the market last year. Have read some posts on a couple different forums recently about disappointed moultrie customers. QDMAworks4me
We have a couple I 40 infared cameras and they have been out during the winter months and I have not had any problems, maybe the newer cameras don't have the same prob's. Good luck resolving your issue.

smallmunster
I've had two I40's for a few months without any problems. Battery life is outstanding, one cam has well over 1400 pics on it and there is over 60% left on the original set of batteries. My lowest temp recorded was -1 F. I don't know anything about the older models, but while the I40 isn't perfect, I have been pleased.
toddyboman
I have a couple of those... have not had that problem yet. My biggest problem with them is they have a slower than molasses trigger. I smashed it against a tree in the woods when it was out for 2 days and no pics and low battery. Sorry for your trouble.....But that is FUNNY!!:D Would have love to been a little bird sitting on a limb to watch you smash the camera:D:D Again sorry for the troubles. Moosedog
I have two of the 4.0 cameras. I've never had that problem with mine. They are slow (but not as slow as my Stealth Cam i450). My biggest beef with my Moultries are the weak flash. If the deer aren't within 10-15 feet ths picture is going to be dark. Still, for the money I paid, they are good cameras in my opinion.
