I think I'll stick with a professional guide like Steve B. and play it safe .. :D:D;)

You might want to check with David Blanton for a second opinion on that statement. Several years ago David and Steve were in a blind with DB's bow drawn on a certain P&Y buck when all of a sudden.............................I think maybe Steve might want to finish the story.

LOL LOL LOL...............Have a great Day

i sure hate tattletales. but jim is way off. this wasn't a p&y buck... he was more. we all knew he was over 17", putting him in the top 1% of p&y. blanton was putting 5 shots in a 3" group at 50 yards, and this buck was closer. as david drew back, i grabbed his elbow. don't know why, just seemed like the thing to do at the time. the trigger release went off, and the arrow wobbled out of the bow. then, david asked me a stupid question, something like "what did you do that for". heck, i don't know. anyway, i made the worst mistake of my career, at the biggest buck we'd have ever killed, (i've taken lots in the 16" plus, but this guy was bigger.) and can't even lie about it, as the cameras were all rolling. this would have been the biggest p&y buck ever taken on film.

but, with guys like jjl around, the salt gets rubbed into the wound at every occasion.

yea, this is all in fun, and i'm laughing and not angry. i don't get angry. but it is all true. unfortunately.

I'm not rubbing salt into a fresh wound anyhow...............

You're a true gentleman Mr. Beilgard and not too proud to admit your mistakes. Mr. Blanton is as well. I, on the other-hand, would have left you for dead in that blind........................

Where's Moorcroft WY anyway. I gotta go up there soon for something I think.
