Several years ago local officials had a problem with a few of Mr. Beilgards tomato plants............

The only problem was, that they weren't producing any tomatoes. It was Steve who actually made the complaint, but he also told the officials that the leaves were OH so good in salads.:D

Right you are, Steve - I don't want anything as itty bitty as that either.:p;)

Is this any good?

Dadgum it! I did the edit thing and rotated the picture, but it still fell over. Oh well, just tip your monitor on its side.:D

that's actually a pretty good photo. and, it shows a pretty good buck. an antelope's ears are 7 1/4". the top of the ear should be at the bottom of the prong, which this one is. now, the prongs here are real good, about 4 1/2 inches from back to front. so, the paddles start at the top of the ears, good prongs, and some good back curl. the left tip is broken off, which is normal. it's the rut, and fighting happens:o. the horns also carry good mass all the way to the tips, which is real good. the bottom line before shooting is to ask yourself "how will this look on my wall?" this boy looks pretty good.

so, i'd guess this buck to be 14 1/2 inches, about 76 p&y, and midway into the book. so, shoot away....:)

yes, there are bigger ones out there, and you will see them. you saw two in my yard last week. but this guy is worth shooting. or, you can choose to wait for a bigger one. ;)

btw, only bucks have black cheeks and snout. that's important if you also get a doe permit. even young bucks will have black on their face. and does WILL have horns up to 4" tall.

i hope everyone read that last post, as that is pretty much how you'll want to judge the antleope you see. i'll go through it again when you're here, and do a bit of a guided tour of antleope for everyone. but, in the blind, everyone is their own judge.

I read it and thought it was a great bit of info... definitely a good starting point for us rookie antelope hunters like me. That would be a trophy for me for sure but I'll probably pass and wait for the 18 incher...:D

rule #1: trust your guide. he told you that there are always more licenses for sale than hunters wanting them. so, there is a 100% chance of drawing.

rule #2: go to the wyoming game & fish, leftover licenses for sale, and you'll see there are 565 licenses left for sale.

rule #3: see rule #1... lol

ATTENTION, SCOTT. HEY, SCOTT. ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?? TIME TO GET ONLINE FOR YOUR LICENSES.;):D:D
