JJL
Oh don't get too worried Mr. B. I've already been told to leave the new camo at home. But, I'm bringing the Monkey. What are we going to do about rooms? Is it every group for themselves, or are we going to book a block? Has anyone else checked into lodging for the trip, if so, what did you find out? stevebeilgard
howard johnson in gillette will give the 70.00 per night rate for anyone interested. you get one king or 2 queen beds, your choice. this was authorized by zulfiqar. and use my name when booking. they will want a deposit card, and have them send/fax you a receipt showing the exact days and cost. just to make sure nothing goes wrong when you get here. I won't tell you what Steve B. was sleeping on out in Colorado then ... :D Heck, I'd want a nice heated and comfy room with a TV also .. stevebeilgard
yep. steve doesn't sleep on the ground when beds are available.... in fact, mine is queen size! and very comfy. just because you're in a tent doesn't mean you can't have a nice bed, hot water, and an oven to cook your bisquits. buckee
Yep, I'm too old to sleep on the ground too, but the sleeping accommodation's at 12,000 ft in Elk camp were pretty dang good. Besides the cold and snow almost taking our lives, that first night, because the stove wouldn't work, and my sleeping bag almost catching on fire, the second or third night, because my feet were too close to the stove, it was pretty dang good. stevebeilgard
heck, steve, we were only camped at 8000 feet.... and don't embarass yourself with that "stove wouldn't work" stuff. you put wood in, light, and put more wood in when the fire goes down. i should have written out the instructions... lol

OJR
Steve B., how can you put up with these wimps! Complaining about a stove and fire! A few years ago, my son and I crawled into a tent without any STOVE and it was -10 degrees! Got in the sleeping bag and went to sleep! No big deal! I can't believe these guys!
