~What pocket knife do you carry?

I guess this is my hunting knife rather than a pocket knife, but it is on my person most of the time. My wife got it made by a very talented local guy for my birthday about 15 years ago. If you can make it out, note the etched cougar head on the blade.

Tragically, the knife maker was killed here last weekend when caught by an avalanche while snowmobiling.

Almost all of the knives that I carry are serrated edges. I do a lot of rope cutting at work and the serrated edge is always up to the task and they last. I know that serrated edges can hack thru a seat belt with no problem if you ever need to get out of a wreck or help someone out of one.

I have been carrying as of late, since I lost my Kershaw Leek; a SOG Trident Camo Copper

This knife is shaving sharp!

Depends. For everyday, I carry a little case 2 blade knife. We bring our deer back to the house to gut em, and I have a pretty good assortment of knives always ready. When hunting I used to carry a lockback single blade knife, a gerber gator with non serrated blade. More recently been carrying a folding lockback knife with the winchester brand that my sister in law and her husband gave me for Christmas 3 or 4 years ago. If I was hunting away from home and had to carry one knife, it would be the gerber.
