dfol20
Has anyone here ever made thier own duck skiff or marsh boat? I was thinking about trying to construct one using foam covered by fiberglass. I don't know if it would work, or be practical. Has anyone ever worked with fiberglass and/or foam? I am just trying to make an affordable boat to haul in my truck to the marshes.
lil hunter
I've never done it, but heard of a lot of people who have. check out the boats blinds and gadgets forum at www.refugeforums.com they have a lot of info on layouts, marsh boats, foam, wood, whatever. I have been wanting to make a duckhunter by www.gatorboats.com but never have done it. Good Luck

rbduck
I just finished building the "BigMama"(14ft) from Gator Boats. Actually, it`s not that hard once you get started. We modified it a bit and now all we have to do is final touches, some sanding, then paint. I posted a pic of it in "Taking Shape" topic. Basically three sheets of plywood.
