njbowhunter27
I am planning on switching to mechanical and wanted some advice. What seems to be the best on the market. I was looking at Rage,Rocket buck busters, and grim reapors. Can anyone give me some feed back thanks
Tom2008
I'm going to have to say Rage is the best on the market right now. I'm sure there are plenty of guys who will show you proof of the damage done by a rage broadheads.*Pictures* All my buddies use them and its just a massive 2 inch hole. They all use the 2 blade. The deer don't go far too.
Cybertech_hound819
Last season i shot the rage and love them. i took 2 deer with them and total traking was less then a 100 yards
Tominator
Rage 2 blade. Devastating.
Guest LIVEWIRE
RAGE three blade is also devastating. So far two years ,no deer can make it past 3 seconds after the hit ............so far

LifeNRA
Rage 2 blade. Devastating. After some of the pictures I been seeing! Yeah I would say the Rage two blade. I heard some stories about the three bladed version not doing what the two blades can! I had the three blade but took them back. This year I will be trying the the two blade! DU_man_84
im gonna have to go with the grim reapers they fly true and cause herrific damage, ive had great experience with them and so have many of my buddies
Tom2008
After some of the pictures I been seeing! Yeah I would say the Rage two blade. I heard some stories about the three bladed version not doing what the two blades can! I had the three blade but took them back. This year I will be trying the the two blade! Well the 2 blade is a 2 inch hole rather than a 1 1/2 so yeah 2 blade does work a little different.
LifeNRA
Well the 2 blade is a 2 inch hole rather than a 1 1/2 so yeah 2 blade does work a little different. It wasn't about the size of hole. It was about them not opening. A few other forums and on here, some complained about them not opening upon impact. Which was enough for me to send my pack back. But I definitely want to try the two blade this year!
Tom2008
Oh I gotcha now. Yeah I would trust the 2 blade over the 3 also. I would definatley agree with you on that. Might as well get that extra 1/2 inch of cutting too.
preacherman
I am shooting the Rage 2 blade myself. They are great heads. But I have also seen the damage that Grim Reapers can do as well. They are great heads as well. Both of these heads fly true, you won't go wrong with either.
DU_man_84
Like i said i shoot grim reapers and i love them, and im not trying to stir anything up but with rage it seems like they are always having recalls constantly on their products
Southerngirl
why are you wanting to switch to mechanical?
PotashRLS
Grim Reaper Razorcut 1 3/4". This is the exit just the way we found him. Broadhead hit the scapula and is good to again once the blades are replaced. Awesome head!!!

Guest derekm
i have used the rage 2 blade and shot a doe and the arrow went in 4 inches . she then ran around the tree and i shot her with a slick trick then she ran 20 yards and died. i am not tryiong to star any crap just letting you know. you dont have to worry about fixed blades not opening
MichiganHunter
well i dont got the pic but the 10pt i shot this year with the Rage Slip Cam 2 blade ran 45yards with a bad shot, the arrow hit high and back but the blades opened wide enough to cut all the artries in the back and still entered 10 inches to the back lung. I have tryed several fixed blades and didn't like the effects, the mechanicals i was using were Napa Spitfires and they worked well but i wanted more and these work MUCH better. dosse
i have shot 5 deer with the rage two blades and everytime it has performed flawlessly. I wont be switching away from them anytime soon. Even made two shots that were far from perfect and i think i owe the rage to recovering them both inside of 150 yards with easily followable blood trails. Here are two that i shot this year. Both went less than sixty yards ten point Doe entry exit
hutchies
G5 Tekan, Rage 2 blade, and NAP Spitfire.............If I was to use a mech it would be one of those 3.
Ohiobucks
Another vote for the Rage 2 blade. I saw what Chris did to a button buck early in the season with one and got myself some. 2 deer with them this past fall with great results. Squirrelhunter91
My old man has shot NAP Shockwaves and NAP Spitfires and has had great success will both heads. He's a mechanical kinda guy. Personally, I like a fixed blade. I have pics of what a Muzzy 3 blade can do and trust me, she died in 5 seconds after running 30 yards. I watched her run from point of impact and fall over.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Rage 2 blade, Grim Reapers, or G5 Tekan II... I personally haven't shot a deer with any of those, but I have seen countless number of pics of deer taken with the rage 2 blade and they all looked like someone took a hatchet and sliced em open. I have helped friends and family recover deer shot with the Grim Reapers, and none of them went over 100 yards. G5 teken, no experience with em at all, but have heard nothing but good things about them, I picked up a pack a few weeks ago for $24.99, they are being "discontinued" (but they are actually just being redesigned a bit) hopefully I can test em out on a nice spring gobbler in a few months
Widowmaker
I took two deer this past season with the 2 bladed Rage heads and both went no more than 40 yards. I couln't believe the blood trails. My 4-wheeler was covered in blood. The only bad part is that I had to send the heads back to Rage because I couldn't get the center screw out to change the blades. They sent me a new pack of heads!!
