Turkeygirl
What's a good way to clean and whiten bone/teeth? On a hike the other day, I found an awesome, big old coyote skull. Few teeth fell out but has 4 big canines and such. I want to get it cleand and such then maybe glue the loose teeth back in and use it for education at camp this summer. Wondering what's good to use...bleach? Peroxide?

shockwave
Peroxide is the way to go..
RTF
But use the peroxide from the hair supply shop. 40 volume I think it's called. Also use gloves when handling.
Turkeygirl
Thanks guys. I'll avoid the bleach. It's nice and clean, was there in the spring I think as I had found the remains of a dead coyote near by. Just needs some purtying up so peroxide should help it. I'll get a picture up when it's done. Any tips on what to use to put the teeth back in, like glue type?
TexasDeerHunter
I would boil it in sodium carbonate, some say baking soda works too. Then use either a peroxide and powder whitener from Van Dykes, or the hair bleach some have mentioned.
RTF
Any tips on what to use to put the teeth back in, like glue type? Clear Silicone caulk, hot melt glue, 2 part epoxy. Your choice .
IowaDeerHunter
To add to RTF's post....I read on taxidermy.net that some people like to use regular elmers school glue.
