What yesterday brought, Jill wantd Cadee weighed. So Daddy got on the scales, checked his weight and then picked up Cadee. Yep she came in at a whopping 16 lbs. LOL Mommy is calling her peanut. Then is't get ready for breakfast. So dad picks out the outfit he would like, Here she is in her first Levis Jeans.

Ok, head down stairs and Cadee eats all solid food for breakfast. Of course Daddy hits the bacon eggs and sausage hard. LOL Then Jill starts working with Cadee on feeding herself, finally she teaches her to pick up a cheerio, and put it in her mouth. Please remember, Cadee is 21 months old. Well we get the eating out of the way, time for a shopping trip. Here we are in a coat Mommy loves, and Daddy ain't sold on yet. LOL

After shopping it is time for a nap, wake up and off to get Cadee's pictures for Visa. she has fun there, and smiles a couple of times when we are playing with her, loves to be turned upside down. We get home and Mommy pulls out the stacking blocks. It took 2 min. of working with her to show her how they went, and off she goes. She used both hands to stack, and if one wouldn't go she would switch off to the other hand. THis was the first she really used some motor skills.

Now bed time, We gave her 2 stacking blocks to take to bed. She started experimenting with them, she would hold one up to her ear and scratch the end. THen let bang them together. finally after about 30 min. of clack clack clack Mommy took them. Oh my did she ever put on a preformance of being upset. Big Crocodile tears and the saddest crying you ever heard. After she figured out we weren't falling for it she went right to sleep.

I just can't wait to see what today brings. It is now 2pm at home and 3 am at home. I think I'll be on here for awhile this morning. I might go down stairs and call the office to make sure everything is going well.

I sure am glad I can post and talk to you folks while I'm over hear. It makes it seem like I'm not that far away.

Love Jeff, Jill, And Cadee.

Some thing I've failed to mention, and I appoligize for it. To all that serve or in our armed forces currently or have in the past, or for those who have family serving or have served. I would like to thank you for your sacrifice. Without your loyalty to our great country, I would not be able to bring my girls home from China. From my family to you and yours. Thank you will all of our hearts. I will admit, tears are welling up as I write this. You and your fellow service men and women have allowed me to have a family.

God Bless

Jeff

OK folks, we had an interesting day yesterday, we all went shopping as a group. We went down town to a temple, then over to a shopping plaza, then to a books store. This really wore us out, Cadee was exhasted when we got back at 12 noon. here is Jill and Cadee in down town Guanzoah.

this is another family in our group. You sure see God working in bringing these families together. They had called in about switching to special needs in the adoption to cut down on the time of the wait. The social worker told them that she had just got off the phone with a family that had rejected a little girl because of her age. She was 8 and considered special needs because of her age only. THe mommy said that is our daughter and we want her. I watched the joy in this little girls eyes when she came out of the room and imediatley hugged and bonded to her Mommy and Daddy. The second day they asked her in Chinese if she liked her new parents. And she told them she loved them and they loved her and she was going back to USA to live with them. This deffinatley cause some tears of joy from the whole group. Here they are going shopping.

Next we headed to some temple, I'm not sure what was going on there, but it was kinda cool for the first 10 min. LOL

This is a pic of Cadee with the director of her orphanage, she didn't look real impressed with him.

And now the moment you've all been waiting for. The amazing smile, yes this is proof that Cadee does have teeth. LOL

It is very rare to catch this allusive animal on film, and I'm proud to have done it.

We had talked to another lady about Cadee being so backwards, and she explained that in an orphanage little ones who don't cry out are thought to be happy. Cadee rarely crys, so she probably didn't get handled much. She is learning very quickly that if she need something and she crys we check with her to make sure her needs are met. This is truly bonding time for her. She will learn to love us because we meet her needs. When we give her food, we grow closer when we give her attention we grow closer. Last night mommy sat on the floor away from Cadee and called her to her. it took a little bit, but before long that game was great. She jumps from a sitting position without the help from her hands, Just hops right up and runs to ma ma. LOL then we get a little coy grin.

Well, at 3:30 we got a call. One of baby's have chicken pox, USA says to vacinate all the baby's within 72 hrs. This will cost 350 Yuan ( $50) Is this OK. I told them that was fine, and was told all families where to meet at 4:30 to go to the medical center. I'll tell you what, Cadee cried there. Daddy shed a few tears too. After that she wanted nothing to do with any Chinese person, expecially the ones wearing masks.LOL

Then back to the hotel where we dined on Pa Pa Johns pizza, coors light, and Diet coke. Cadee ate conzgee(rice, milk, chicken) then bed at 8pm.

I'm sorry if I rambled on to much, just needed to tell my friends how things are going. I will say it is really nice to be able to share all of this, it make me feel were not so far away.

By the way, this is a doll that is given to adopting parents that stay at the white swan. This is a barbie doll holding a chinese baby. We got one for Carlee when last over hear, we were hoping they still did it this trip.

And now for the great wonderful new. The light just came on in this little girls head. SHe jumped up and ran to mommy when called smileing from ear to ear. SHe then ate dinner, she picked up the spoon for mommy, held her own sippy cup, then for desert she picked up Cheerios and ate them all by herself. she is over joyed when we praise her, and is actually trying to show off. LOL

Look at this look.

This is by far the happiest she's shown us. She is really changing by the minute. If she continues at this rate we will be enrolling her in Harvard by the time we leave for the states. I handed her a stacking cup upside down and she switched it to the other hand before putting it down.

As you can tell I'm one wound up Pa Pa right now. Keep prayers coming, but I'm here to tell you they are being answered right in front of our eyes.

Ok folks, sorry I didn't post last night. I ended up in the pool lounge with 2 guys from our adoption group. THen we were joined by a fellow from England, one from Ireland, and A gentleman from Poland joined us latter. That guy from Ireland was buying rounds, I talked hunting with the guy from England, he shoots skeet over there. He was into match pistols, but they lost them because of some crimes. Now he said only the criminals have pistols.

any how, here are the events of the day. Jill went to the area where the tropic of Cancer comes across. It's called the 5 rams.

Cadee_s_trip_240.jpg

This next pic is of a local shop owner named Dong, boy is this guy ever a great fellow. I sat and had tea with him, and we talked for more than an hour and a half. He was interested in hunting in the USA, so I used his computer to pull up RT photos. He was amazed at the deer, elk, bear, and turkeys everyone was getting. LOL In china they grind up antlers for women to drink, good for body thay say. He thought we could make a killing with the antlers we were getting on the deer at home.LOL

I'll post the rest in the next post.

THis is a pic we took yesterday of some children on the street, they are studying english, and come to this area to practice on Americans. THey were asking our names, favorite foods, favorite colors, favorite hobbies, and where we were from in USA. THey were a joy to be around, all wanted us to write our names in ther notebooks to save them. THey gave us all kids of candy from there back packs as gifts, and they wanted there pictures taken with them. I'll tell you what, I'd have taken them all home if allowed. LOL

We all went to the zoo today, what fun walking around a zoo not exactly feelling the best. My wife didn't feel sorry for me one bit, something about self induced. I do know she made me carry alot more than usual, funny how women have a habit of doing that. LOL

Here is a pic of Cadee and I in front of the Indian Elephant.

Cadee_s_trip_268.jpg

Then I got a pic of these little deer, THey had little horns that looked something like Sika deer, and only grew about 6" above there heads. I would love to bow hunt these little things. LOL I'm telling you a 20 yard shot would have to be right on.

Cadee_s_trip_285.jpg

Well guys and gals, that is the update for today. I'll keep hanging out here and trying to update you on how things are going.

Cadee is really takeing to us, she is smileing more and more each day. SHe still hasn't talked other than the few words the other day before nap. Her little eyes are sparkleing though. Keep up the prayers, we sure appreciate them.

From china, Jeff Jill and Cadee
