Guest MIhillbilly Posted January 15, 2008 Report Share Posted January 15, 2008 I just took the iron sights off of a Remington Model 700ML that has a scope mounted on it and I'm trying to find out where I can get some of those little screws (preferably stainless steel) to fill the holes left in the barrel. I tried Gander Mtn. last night, but no luck. I also need to figure out what size they are, so if anyone knows that, it'd be helpful as well. Surely there must be some place that has them. Thanks. hangunnr Posted January 15, 2008 Report Share Posted January 15, 2008 When your gun was new the screw holes for the scope mount had plug screws installed from the factory. If you by chance still have those they'll work just fine. The problem is they all seem to be .125" long and the holes in my barrel are only .100" deep so I really think I need to find some shorter ones, 1/16" instead of 1/8".
