Ohiobucks
...so here goes. A load of juniors that were expected to go to the NFL are coming back for their senior season. This list includes: Butkus Award winner, Big 10 defensive player of the year and 1st team all-American LB James Laurinaitus DB Malcolm Jenkins (not that kind of DB John) WR Brian Robiskie LT Alex Boone LB Marcus Freeman Monday evening, Laurinaitis released a statement through Ohio State: “After a long thought process and strategic evaluation of the pros and cons of this decision with my close family and friends, I’ve decided to stay at Ohio State for my senior season to complete my schoolwork and football career. “I know I can still improve as a player, and I know there is still much more to me and for the Buckeyes to accomplish. My love for this university, my love for the people of the state of Ohio, and my love for teammates and friends is so great that I want stay a Buckeye for another season. You only get to do this once, so I want to take full advantage. “There are a lot of things that money can’t buy, and some of those things are the experiences of a senior season. Going through those things with my teammates next year is what I look forward to the most. “I received a lot of great advice from those close to me: my parents, close friends, former players and through prayer. “I knew the right decision for me was to follow my heart and figure out what’s important to me right now. That’s the decision to remain at Ohio State, have a great senior season, and graduate with my degree in communications next year. I am very satisfied with that decision.” Are you tired of hearing about the Buckeyes yet? It ain't gonna stop anytime soon..... 3 trips to the big game in 3 years??? muggs
They need to beat USC to earn any respect back. Even though OSU is a top three program every year, their reps taken a hit. I think that's a huge reason so many guys came back. I can't believe the Little Animal is this dedicated...I love it.
VABuckSlayer
Isn't college football over... At least the Buckeyes held UNC to less than 100 points in basketball this season. Even though they still lost!
buckbuster11
Laringitis? You mean the guy that completely disappeared in the championship game? Did he even play or was he hurt? muggs
Laringitis? You mean the guy that completely disappeared in the championship game? Did he even play or was he hurt? John, although he didn't play his best game, he still had 18 tackles. And although, I'm not big on stats (especially since some of those tackles happened down field) I don't think you can say a guy "disappeared" when he was the leading tackler on either team, bud. Not to mention, the guy is great in pass coverage as well as rushing the QB...he would have went top ten no doubt. This move is about redemption.
