Just a thought

...., but do you think someone would be able to make money by doing food plots for other people in your area. Granted, the equipment would cost a lot, but if you already had everything do you think it would be possible to find a few jobs and also profit enough to hassle with it?

I've put some very serious thought into this for the past couple days and i've got to ask someone :D. Would rather get shot down by yall first than my dad. I just dont know if someone would pay enough to try it.

No need to search it for me WTN, i found them. Seems to be that most were asking how much would you ask to be paid though. Mainly i'm wondering if anyone thinks you'd get enough business to worry with it. Obviously, most of us on here like to do our own, but i was thinking more for clubs. I've never been a part of one, but i know most will have workdays throughout the summers and fall. Obviously some end up bringing all the equipment and some dont do a thing. I think some might would just rather pay the extra money. I dunno. Any opinions will be appreciated

I know people are doing it...too spendy unless $$ is not a prob. dont think one could make a full time job of it..we do a few, but mostly because we are doing a logging job, and are in there anyways..try putting an add in an outdoor section of a local paper, figure out what your costs would be to cover your inputs / fuel seed, fertilizer, time etc..good luck

There were a couple postings asking a question along these lines probably in the past year or two.

I could see where it could work Rhine, if it was a sideline job to go along with something already in that line like say landscaping. There used to be a guy around here who ran a feed store who put in custom plots for people. Dont know how well it worked for him though.

Thank you for looking those up for me William.

As you probably know, i'm just a freshman in college. I have definitely thought of going into landscaping, but only problem is the market in my area(45 miles south or north and i'd have it made). However, i do run my own little yard mowing deal. Have had 8-15 yards a year since i was 13 that i did.

I'm thinking that i could make a little doing the food plots. Even if i didnt make but a thousand, it would still be worth it. Equipment would not be a problem for me, so that isnt a big deal. I'm still trying to work up the courage to ask my dad about it :o. Dunno what his reply will be.
