BearClaw
I know this is a personal opinion question and many turkey have been taken with each, but what is your favorite turkey load, 4, 5 or 6?
Strut10
Depends on which of my guns I'm talking about. All but one of my guns prefer #6 shot. The Mrs.' gun likes #5 shot.
woodshed
I don't think it's personal preference as much as it's what your guns preference is. Go with which ever gives the most pellets in the head.
fenderhunt4
For my gun, I like #5.
PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
I found that my shotgun shoots Win Super X 3in #6 copper plated in 1 7/8 oz loads. They are getting hard to find too.
M00N
My 20-Gauge turkey gun seems to pattern best with 3" #5 shells.
wtnhunt
Best patterns I seem to get are with the winchester supreme #5's.

Ethan Givan
My 870 seems to prefer Federals Flitecontrol wad shells, with # 5s.
woodsman2230
I like 5 with a 3.5" shell because you can get a little extra distance with 5's but if im shooting 3" i like to shoot 6's Just what I like to do. Everyone likes it differently.

HuntnMa
winchester supreme elite Xtended range high density... 3'' #5's works best for me.....they average $3.50 a shell but it's so worth it.....
HUNTINGMAN
Anyone got a recomendation for my supernova in a 3.5" mag.preferably some type of high density or heavy shot.
elnor
Depends on the gun, but both my Rem 1100 and Moss 835 prefer Win XtRange 3 inch #5s.
maytom
When I was shooting strictly lead or copper plated lead loads, #5's were my personal favorite. They had better patterns than #4's and they hit harder than #6's. But of late, I'm into the newer "Heavy Shot" loads. They hit harder than lead and carry better energy levels all the way out to the 40 yard marker. The Nitro 3" H378 4X5X7 plated Hevishot load is my current favorite, along with the Rhino choke tube sized .660, it's a real turkey thumper out of my Win 1300. Bowtech_archer07
I shoot Winchester 3 in. 4 shot through my Mossberg 500 12 ga. with an Undertaker Choke Tube. They pattern great, but each gun patterns differently.
tlott89
lasy yr i use winchester copperplated lead 4 shot.i still have 14 of them left so im gonna use them up and im gonna go pick up some nirto 4 or 5 shot when i go to dick's next.my 1400 can only take 2 3/4 in shells so im somewhat limited to what i use but the winchesters seem to work well out of my gun. Guest turkeynutz64
My local pro shop turned me on to fiocchi's pheasent loads! They shot so much better, with more penatration! Not to mention makes my 20g. kick a lil harder! They are nickle plated copper coated lead pellets! #6's 1200fps 3" 20g.
