Guest Andrea
Ok, if I were a single gal and I'd just gotten engaged...then October would be fine. See.....cause I think a great honeymoon would be hunting in the mountains somewhere together and having a log cabin all to ourselves after we kill a couple of deer. BUT----------if you marry a woman who isn't "in" to hunting, well........the fall season probably isn't the best time to plan that sort of thing. But you are more into fishing I think, so you probably have thought this out anyway. Best of luck Eric.:D

Best of luck Eric.:D Yeah, he is, and the steelies start to run in October, and I know Sarah has tried her hand at fishing, so maybe that is part of the plan Andrea. At least I HOPE that's part of the plan.
muggs
Call me the crazy one, but I wouldn't let hunting or fishing interfer with plans for my marriage. I love both, but I can do without them for a week or two for a life altering event. And for our honeymoon I want to be shirtless on a nameless beach with a tropical adult bevie in hand...Cleveland weathers are cool and all but..... That said, I should be back from the honeymoon for the rut.
AdvantageTimberLou
That said, I should be back from the honeymoon for the rut. ohh you nieve little man..... every married man knows that when you get back from the honeymoon that is when you both sit down and write the thank you notes to your wedding guests!! NO RUT FOR YOU!!!! LOL!! You have a lot to learn buddy!
Southerngirl
yes but hun, that will be your anniversary EVERY YEAR! so your screwing yourself out of hunting / fishing a weekend every year for aslong as yall are married (I hope that would be more than one year sweetie)
JJL
Call me the crazy one, but I wouldn't let hunting or fishing interfer with plans for my marriage. YOU"RE CRAZY, LOCO, DISTURBED, and TWISTED. It's the marriage that interferes with the hunting and fishing. Think long term. That's one weekend EVERY FALL that you'll be at home, We'll be in the woods. Think about it this way, it's 2020, you're buddy calls and wants to plan an Elk trip to Idaho for two weeks in October. You say "COOL"........your wife says " but honey, that's our ANNIVERSARY..........you LOSE. And you know why you'll lose, because you are agreeing to getting married in October. You've set yourself up for failure from the start. She'll be putting the pants on from then on. Believe me that's how they are. My advice.......... Drop some huge cash on a honeymoon in the Carribean in February. That's right February. No Hunting, No Fishing, No Football. What a great month for an ANNIVERSARY. There's NOTHING ELSE to do. It's a one time cash outlay that will repay you every OCTOBER. Trust me...... HAPPILY married 19 years. Anniversary.....February 24. It's your life do as you please.........there's just no point in losing from the start.
AdvantageTimberLou
That is why I got married in June, no hunting seasons then! Birthdays for my kids are in March and September. Lou knows how to plan around his hunting time and avoid the wife and hope his math skills are correct, now 9 months from right now............! Just wait till you get RSVP's back from hunting buddies saying if its raining hard they may be there, if not they'll send a gift as their butts will be in a treestand! wildside
First of all, congrats on the engagement! How did it go talking with the future in-laws about your plans for a new "boat"?! Very clever! As for when to get married . . . October is a beautiful month. You got it right when you write, "Call me the crazy one, but I wouldn't let hunting or fishing interfer with plans for my marriage. I love both, but I can do without them for a week or two for a life altering event." Plus, an annual getaway fishing weekend with just the two of you would be an awesome way to celebrate your anniversary. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
