8ptbuckpa
This may sound like a brand bashing, but isn't intended to the other dayI went to kinseys archery shop here in PA and as usually couldn't resist pulling back the new 08 models from bear, hoyt, bowtech, pse. What I came to realize is that for the Bear truth 2 all the bows where heavier and their draws where not even close to being like my Switchback XT or my fathers DXT. I honestly couldn't see why anybody would want to pull a draw like them but to each his own. Have a great day Brad ps. man do I love my switchback xt:D
hoytman26
I have nothing against Matthews, I just dont like solocam bows.
007hunter
Most certainly price has something to do with it. I'm not exactly sure what each goes for but am fairly certain the Bears are quite a bit cheaper.
Tom2008
It is different to everyone. Personally I don't like Bear, parker, pse, or browning. The ones that I do like are High Country, Mathews, Diamond, and Martin. I haven't tried any other companys so I can't say anything about them. Although, I know tons of people that think the brands I don't like are the best. It all depends on the person. Some guys like a thin grip and some guys like a real thick grips. Some guys won't shoot anything different than a single cam bow and some guys will only shoot two cam bows. I'm sure you get what I am trying to point out. Leo
007hunter makes a good point. Price matters. If you only buy what you truly need, you can more afford to hunt where you want.
Dubie
I've never had the urge to buy a new bow since my PSE Polaris. I'm used to it, I shoot it straight, never had any type of catastrophic failure, and it kills what I shoot at. I'm not a pro tournament shooter, don't have any desire to be, and I just plain wouldn't feel comfortable taking another bow into the field. Thats my preferance. On the other hand, I know guys that buy a new bow every other year, and have to buy all the latest gadgets to go with them. Thats thier preferance. I think when it comes to bows, you could ask a hundered archers, and get a hundred opinions...

Washi
I bet that if you took your Mathews and one of those hard drawing bows and shot them through a chronograph, and turned down the hard drawing bow until they shot the same arrow the same speed they would feel pretty similar. Southerngirl
hey I love my Martins and I do think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread especially after shooting a hoyt and a mathews........ that being said if you look at my posts I will tell people why I like Martin bows, but I also tell people they need to shoot a little of everything and see what fits them

The Kid
it all depends on the archer, i think!! I have nothing againts any kinds of bows, shot almost every bow out there, but its just a preference i think. i picked my XT because is was small and lightweight, but thats just me, price will effect the overall outcome too
